Just some lyrics to the song I'm currently listening too.

Today I woke up amazingly late. After I had went back to sleep again of course. But really, that doesn't count. So, I don't really like to wake up so late. It makes me feel guilty somehow. Haha

Weird person I am.

Tomorrow we are going to go to Kota Tua. I should probably charge my cellphone. It's fairly important. And we'll probably be taking pictures. So, wait a minute...

Anyway. Tomorrow we're gonna set out early. And we have to wake up early to make lunch because we're gonna have a picnic of some sort as well. Maybe I'll bring some crisps as well. We'll see.

I'm not really enthused as you can see. Most probably because I'm just going with the flow. Since everyone decided to go, I'm just going along. It's not like I'm really doing anything at home right now. So, why not?

Don't really expect a lot of input on the trip though. I might not write about it until maybe three weeks after. Haha.

One thing I've been thinking about recently. The Arashi new album.

Some people are moaning and groaning at the use of auto-tuning in the album.

I personally have no problems with it though. Mostly because to me, I want to listen to a good song. I don't care how you make it, how you sing it, or even sometimes, what you're singing about. I just want a good song. If the auto-tuning makes the song better, then I have no qualms with it. To me, it's still a good song.

If I want to listen to real singing, I'll listen to other songs. If I want to do some head banging, I'll listen to some other songs.

That kind of thing.

Maybe I have no real principle on what I'm listening to, but to really describe it, I just want to listen to a good song.

It's like, I can't really stand hip hop, but still I listen to some songs by Eminem because he makes some good songs.

It just comes down to personal preference anyway, cry moar kinda thing.

I love the new album. And surprisingly, my favourite member solo is Matsujun's. Nino's is good but kinda, you know. Just good. The meaning behind the song is sweet though. Sho-chan's is listenable, but not really something I'd put on repeat. Aiba's is aiba-ppoi and I laugh everytime he sings -discotique, discotique- because really???? . Oh-chan's solo is something he's done. Kinda like 'Song for me' and 'Take me far away'. It's good. Oh-chan's vocals are awesome. But it's too done.

All in all, I really like this album. :) Good job, Arashi.

though to be honest, even the guys themselves have no idea when the exact date is since they were debuted on a span of three days and they were in Hawaii thus the co-relation to the actual date in Japan is unknown. I'm taking the easy and going with the middle date.

In other Arashi related news, I finally got my copy of the Arashi's Best Album Limited Edition. XD

OMG!!! Fly my money fly...

In which Nona fails and flails with furious abandon.

You see, when we went to the Grand Indonesia Mall, I had a target in mind; To go to Kinokuniya. I've never actually been to Kinokuniya surprisingly, me being a bookworm and all that, but that's the truth. Generally, my whole family frequents MPH more with a side dish of Popular.


Pokoknya, I've never been to Kino...


So, after lunch at the food court (mie tarik, Sedap gak), we headed down to Kinokuniya.

When we got there, I was very happy to see that they had a larger selection of english books compared to Gramedia, so I was all set on buying one because, hey, it's not exactly often that I can go there right? After around 20-30 minutes of book browsing, I decided on a book and then went around the store to look around.

Then lo and behold, just as I set foot into the Japanese section I saw...this;

ARASHI 2009-2010 calendar.

Good god, I squealed. Right then and there in the store, I was going "kyaaaaa~" like crazy and my heart was actually beating so hard, it's funny.

I mean, really, this kind of reaction, for a CALENDAR??? But it was no ordinary, I tell you, it's an ARASHI calendar.

The part of my brain that is actually half-sane wishes to point out, "as if this makes any difference".

The other part says, "OF COURSE. It makes all the difference in the world!!!!"

So, in all my squealing and heart-pounding excitement, I grabbed it and went to the counter..... and BOUGHT IT!!!!!!


I have an ARASHI CALENDAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*coughhyperventilatescough*

Ok, back to normal. As, I was saying, I bought that calendar. No matter what my friends told me, I still bought that calendar (sidenote: thanks Aqilah for understanding my insanity). The price.......... shall not be stated here due to the possibility of an induced heart-attack in certain parental figures. But I think I'll tell her anyway, when she asks. Complete with conversion to RM.....

What was in the box? A calendar and a diary. Complete with pages and pages of pictures.

I swear I'm never ripping this calendar and when 2010 comes, I'll take each page and frame it. Frame it I tell you!!!

What? The thing's too darn expensive to be thrown out after just one year!

The calendar: I'm not a fan of the theme. SURPRISE!! LOL.


You'd think that a rabid fangirl like me would like this, but surprisingly, no. I do not like the calendar's theme. There are 7 pages including the cover. One page featuring each member and a group picture on the last page. The theme: sexy. Sexy pictures all around. Just, well, I prefer their wholesome look more maybe? And some of the pictures were, well, garish. I mean, red rose petals? Really red suits?


Just...no.


Oh yeah, they even included some stickers. I'm still figuring where the heck am I going to paste these...



The diary: I heart this book.


It's more of a photobook than a diary really. Sort of home themed, Arashi during winter? More character based, I'd say. Matsujun reading, Nino with a guitar, Sho writing raps, Aiba tinkering with a bike and Ohno fishing. Group pictures of them being 'Arashi' (fangirls will understand this even if the normal folk don't).


In short, I HEART this diary.

So, the main question: Did I regret my purchase?

Time: Ages... I can safely say more than a week though time spent on each potrait is varied

Tools: 2B, HB, 4H, 7B pencils and 2B mech pencil

Again, I took a picture and uploaded it. So, the quality is bad and some of them turn out having some kind of weird angle. I should invest in a scanner...

My self imposed holiday project is finally finished!!!! Yatta!!!

What? What better thing to do to waste my time is there?

Actually, I wanted to arrange them in age order but the damn thing just won't do what I want it to. Or maybe I'm just that technologically illiterate... which isn't that far from the truth either...

Anyway, my thoughts on the whole project...

Ohno-san: His hair was the hardest to draw... (T_T;;). Really, I think I spent the most time drawing his hair. In the end.... I only like his hair... Hahahaha... (;^_A

Sho-chan: I drew him twice. hahaha... So difficult!!! The first potrait was scratched and I did this one next... I'm actually, still not happy with it. Something is just off.

Aiba-chan: Aiba-chan was hard to draw as well. I couldn't get the smile and the teeth right. I still haven't gotten it right. (>_<;) .... the nose is kinda off too...

Nino: Haha... I'm biased on this because he's my Ichiban. I want it to be perfect... it isn't..... there are so many things wrong, I don't know where to start... lol... I sorta made myself stop drawing.... lol. In this picture that I uploaded, there's something off with his hair. Some light is reflected and because I have no idea how, I couldn't repair it. Anyway, I like Nino's hair longer. But his hair in the Believe PV is also mecha kakkoi...

Matsujun: Most recently finished (because I also drew them in age order. Hahaha). last night actually. There's something off with his neck now that I'm looking at it properly... Maybe I'll repair it later... hahha... uploading it though.... yeah... maybe.... Anyway, his came together pretty quickly, haha, though the hair was a bit of a problem. Truthfully, this is sort of a revenge picture. haha... I drew a potrait of him last time (look at "Potrait: Matsumoto Jun" entry). At the time, I thought it was OK...now I think it's embarassing (knowing me, I'll probably find this collection embarrassing sometime too)...

So I tried hard to make this one look nicer. It does, but there're somethings I could repair...

All in all.... more room for improvement, yes? hahaha... honestly, if I were to take hold of a pencil right now, I'd probably be doing repairs on the potraits. But I had serious fun doing this. I felt a sense of accomplishment when i finished this... lol...even though the end result is far from good....

I'm no art student, I'm just doing this for fun so I have no idea if I'm even doing this the right way. (Is there a right way to draw a potrait anyway? There probably is)...

Anyway!!! comments are appreciated... I'd like to know how I can improve. Now I'm learning how to do this by trial and error... Soooo many errors... hahaha

On another note, I just watched the anime version of Believe... I didn't actually understand the story (if there is a story at all behind it) but I liked the way they incoporated each members quirks in the anime... Sho and his newscasting, Ohno and his fishing, Aiba and his animals, Nino and his gaming (well, he was playing a game in the beginning... I don't actually understand why he was in a garden... gomen...) and Matsujun just being kakkoi.. hahaha

fav scene... Aiba catching the puppies. I'd probably watch it again and again just for that scene. Haha....

Over all... very cute. hahaha...

A very long entry no? Ah well.... the end...
