I say obligatory but I've spent the entire day thinking what is it that I want to write. Unfortunately, today it seems that I have the dumb so here's a normal birthday post.

Because Arashi's 5x10 concert DVD is finally up for pre-order. The release date is set for April 7th. I am in the process of contacting a person and arranging a transaction. May all goes well.

I have waited for this CD since August last year. I shall have it!!!!!!! Wargh!!!!!

So, in other non-arashi related news, I am currently home for semester holidays! Have been for like, 1 week plus?

I have been doing nothing but expanding. Myself.

I really should go out and do something. *sigh*

Oh and I got a haircut. It's short. And short. And...short?
I wished she hadn't cut my bangs so short. I like my bangs longer. But I shall live. Hair grows.

This keyboard is seriously testing the limits of my patience. And strength. It's so..... hard? That's the only word I can think of to describe it. I wish my laptop is ok again. ABANG!!! COME HOME!!!!

though to be honest, even the guys themselves have no idea when the exact date is since they were debuted on a span of three days and they were in Hawaii thus the co-relation to the actual date in Japan is unknown. I'm taking the easy and going with the middle date.

In other Arashi related news, I finally got my copy of the Arashi's Best Album Limited Edition. XD

Which I am currently listening too. And I find it funny that in the info box in my winamp player, it reads;

Why? Videoscope why?

Actually, I just finished watching Videoscope on Channel V. They had Super Junior featured this time around and I couldn't help but wonder...

When are they going to feature Arashi?

*Sigh*


I suppose, the Johnny's fandom in my country is only restricted to the internet. Not that it's a bad thing, but I kinda want them to be featured more on TV. Get them more coverage. Though, it's not like their fanbase is that small and need any more buffering, but yeah. It's the principle of the matter (what principle?)

I follow almost all the asian music shows on TV but Arashi almost never comes out. Not a lot of Johnny's idols come out either. But I have caught Domoto Kouichi's "Ayakashi Onna" (?? is that the right title? I forgot) twice on JK hits on MTV. In all the JK hits and stuff I've watched, Arashi has only come out once!

Ashita no Kioku on JK hits. That ONE time. (of course I screamed and refused to change the channel until the very end of the song and the last strains have died and the tv turns black...you get the idea)

And compared to how many times "Sorry sorry" or "It's you" PVs are played, that's kinda sad.

I know that the Malaysian fanbase is huge, but really, there's no coverage. Even when I go to record stores and look under the A section at the Japanese music section, all I see is Ayumi Hamasaki.

Incidently, once, I went to a record store in Indonesia and I found a TOKIO concert DVD. Their 10th anniversary concert DVD to be exact. And that was how many years ago? And it was still very expensive. And no Arashi.

On another note, I kinda like Super Junior now. AND IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!!! you know who you are. Though I still cannot match name and face. This is bad. I do not need another fandom.

Their music is good. Say what you like, it's all digital or they're lip-syncing or whatever. I like listening to their music. And that's all there is to it.

You know what? Johnny's should take a leaf out of the SM entertainment book.

It's raining fanservice!

Before I proceed anyway, I suppose I should warn you that this post is mostly Arashi related.

Just because really. hehehe

So anyway, from the 28th to the 30th of August, Arashi kick starts their 5x10 tour with the first venue, Kokuritsu.

Since I can't be there in body, I've been following a few concert reports. I've only read a few by some lj users that I usually stalk because reading too much only serves to make me jealous. .. and from what I've read, I can't help but feel proud of our boys. I can't really put what I feel into words because, unfortunately, I'm not that eloquent, but, yeah, the best I can do, is that I feel proud of our boys.

I feel that they can go on. And I'll be there, for as long as I can.

An interesting part is that, apparently they performed A.Ra.Shi in the infamous transparent coats and white shorts they wore during their debut. Before this, I've come across this info alot in the fandom but it never crossed my mind that they would do this again! It's rather fitting, yeah? When I first read about it, I burst out laughing. I think that this alone would be the reason I'm buying the concert DVD. (but yeah, I don't really need a reason anyway, do I?)

On the last day of Kokuritsu, from what I've read, it was raining really hard. Really-pouring sheets-cats and dogs-you're crazy to be standing in it-raining really hard. But, the boys and the audience didn't let it get it to them. From what i read anyway, they did a lot of fanservice on the 30th, to get the crowd going. The fangirls that day are really, really lucky.

It was Jun's birthday as well on the 30th so during the mc, they sang a birthday song and brought out a cake that was covered in clear plastic to protect it from the rain. Then they presented him with his birthday present, which was a really, sparkly jacket (blazer? coat?). So sparkly in fact, that he looked like a disco ball. He wore his present during one of the encores and apparently tried to blind Oh-chan with it. XD

This, my fellow fangirls, don't you agree, is one of the pics u really want? Because I want a pic of this. Really.

Do you think they'll release a concert DVD for kokuritsu?

Ah well, either way, I really am looking forward to the concert DVD.

Hahahha..... Since I'm at home right now, I can't really kya as loudly as I want to, and besides, I'd be teased extensively (not that i'm not teased anyway) about it.

IT'S AUGUST!!

yes, and people knew that 9 days ago.

But really, there's another reason.

August is when ARASHI releases their compilation album!!!!

Which I bought.

And may get my hands on sometime next month, because that's when I'll be coming back to Indo.

I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought the limited edition copy that boasts three CDs of ARASHI's singles from 1999 to 2009. Until Crazy Moon, if I'm not mistaken.

And there's a new song as well, written by ARASHI for the fans. I've already listened to it once. And with my limited understanding of the japanese language, I thought it was cute, and nice, and touching. But I still need to look at translations to see if I understood right. hehehe

August is also when ARASHI goes on tour!! In the five domes and kokuritsu.

I want to go. The ultimate fangirl dream? To me, it seems unattainable. Hahha. The plane ticket to Japan alone exceeds any kind of budget I have.

But I can always dream.. . le sigh.

August is also MATSUJUN'S month!

For my ni-ban. Since most of us will be going home for the holidays, we might not be able to do a celebration like we did for Nino in June (unplanned though it was). Maybe we'll do something later? We'll see...

August is also when I'll be going HOME!!!

Today is my Neener's 26th birthday!! XD


And in a mood to celebrate, myself, Ijat, Anum and A'an went to Puri to get Secret Recipe cakes and Pizza.

It wasn't actually planned. haha... to be honest, I can't believe I did this myself. Hahaha.......

In all actuality, I just wanted to go to Puri, get a slice of cheese cake and bring it back home to eat. But since they wanted to come along, this impromptu celebration was born

I just realized I didn't take a lot of pictures. o_0...

So, the celebrations began sometime around 7. To keep up with the theme of Arashi and Nino's b'day, we sort of wore shirts according to the colour of our fav member. I of course, wore yellow, Anum wore a green shirt for Aiba, A'an wore blue for Ohno and Ijat wore her purple and white watch for Matsujun since she didn't own a purple shirt. Sadly, we did not have a Sho representative because the only one we knew who would actually 'layan' our craziness had an exam.

We met up at Puri and bought slices of the cakes we wanted and went to eat dinner at Pizza Hut. While waiting for our orders at Pizza Hut, we took out the cakes and arranged them. Ijat took a recording to each of our wishes for Nino and then well, we ate cake!! hahaha... ( i think really, most of us were just looking for a reason to eat cake and since the occasion presented itself...well...)

The conversation was mainly about Arashi, of course. I had soooo much fun talking about my favourite vids and clips of the boys. Sort of, FINALLY kindred spirits!!! Hahaha...

Oh, and here's a happy coincidence, during break today, I was sitting around in class with my friends when suddenly, someone put on a video of Nino!! It was the video with Nino, the pretty girl-boy and two other guys whom I do not recognize. The one where Nino did the "acrylic kiss" with the girl-boy. Hahaha...

When it first came on I was like, ok, what's this japanese video and who put it on? When suddenly, the camera zoomed on a familiar face and I was like...OMG, NINO!!!!!! hahaha...true fangirl face finally revealed to the world. >_<;;;

haha....imagine, Nino on my class screen. It's kinda funny.

Anyway, to end this slightly pointless and fangirl-ish post, here's a birthday wish:

OMG!!! Fly my money fly...

In which Nona fails and flails with furious abandon.

You see, when we went to the Grand Indonesia Mall, I had a target in mind; To go to Kinokuniya. I've never actually been to Kinokuniya surprisingly, me being a bookworm and all that, but that's the truth. Generally, my whole family frequents MPH more with a side dish of Popular.


Pokoknya, I've never been to Kino...


So, after lunch at the food court (mie tarik, Sedap gak), we headed down to Kinokuniya.

When we got there, I was very happy to see that they had a larger selection of english books compared to Gramedia, so I was all set on buying one because, hey, it's not exactly often that I can go there right? After around 20-30 minutes of book browsing, I decided on a book and then went around the store to look around.

Then lo and behold, just as I set foot into the Japanese section I saw...this;

ARASHI 2009-2010 calendar.

Good god, I squealed. Right then and there in the store, I was going "kyaaaaa~" like crazy and my heart was actually beating so hard, it's funny.

I mean, really, this kind of reaction, for a CALENDAR??? But it was no ordinary, I tell you, it's an ARASHI calendar.

The part of my brain that is actually half-sane wishes to point out, "as if this makes any difference".

The other part says, "OF COURSE. It makes all the difference in the world!!!!"

So, in all my squealing and heart-pounding excitement, I grabbed it and went to the counter..... and BOUGHT IT!!!!!!


I have an ARASHI CALENDAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*coughhyperventilatescough*

Ok, back to normal. As, I was saying, I bought that calendar. No matter what my friends told me, I still bought that calendar (sidenote: thanks Aqilah for understanding my insanity). The price.......... shall not be stated here due to the possibility of an induced heart-attack in certain parental figures. But I think I'll tell her anyway, when she asks. Complete with conversion to RM.....

What was in the box? A calendar and a diary. Complete with pages and pages of pictures.

I swear I'm never ripping this calendar and when 2010 comes, I'll take each page and frame it. Frame it I tell you!!!

What? The thing's too darn expensive to be thrown out after just one year!

The calendar: I'm not a fan of the theme. SURPRISE!! LOL.


You'd think that a rabid fangirl like me would like this, but surprisingly, no. I do not like the calendar's theme. There are 7 pages including the cover. One page featuring each member and a group picture on the last page. The theme: sexy. Sexy pictures all around. Just, well, I prefer their wholesome look more maybe? And some of the pictures were, well, garish. I mean, red rose petals? Really red suits?


Just...no.


Oh yeah, they even included some stickers. I'm still figuring where the heck am I going to paste these...



The diary: I heart this book.


It's more of a photobook than a diary really. Sort of home themed, Arashi during winter? More character based, I'd say. Matsujun reading, Nino with a guitar, Sho writing raps, Aiba tinkering with a bike and Ohno fishing. Group pictures of them being 'Arashi' (fangirls will understand this even if the normal folk don't).


In short, I HEART this diary.

So, the main question: Did I regret my purchase?

first things first though... I am an otaku, I love japanese music and watch japanese dramas.

Another thing you should know, is that I'm a BIG, Arashi fan. BIIIIIGGGG.... Everest got nothing on me kinda big...

So, on this beautiful Sunday morning, while having breakfast, I set about to haunting my favourite blogs out there on Arashi...

So being the ever thirsty Arashi fangirl, I looked into it.



And guess what,......... this very lucky girl.............GOT TO MEET SAKURAI SHO!!!!

Not to mention she told him she knew who Arashi was and Sho actually asked her to sing some Arashi songs and he sang with her and he asked her how did she know Arashi and she and her friend gave him a birthday present *(IN PERSON)*... plus some other presents for the Arashi guys...and oh god, she got to SHAKE HIS HAND!..

yeah... i utterly fail....but I fail happily.

So according to her report, Sho-kun was actually pretty shocked to know that Arashi was really popular in the US...

oh and slight intermission: Sakurai Sho was in New York recently, when I don't remember (I fail as an Arashi fan), at the Comic Con to promote his new movie "Yatterman". That's when this transaction happened.

Just imagine the horde of fangirls flocking to the Comic Con...

So yeah, I am now, utterly jealous yet very happy for this girl.

I hope someone uploads the vid on youtube (she was actually doing an interview [being interviewed??] for Sho-kun's news programme; News Zero). I would so like to see this....

Anyway, congratz u. Don't wash that hand for at least a couple of months (>_<)

BTW, if any I were in her shoes and was asked to sing, I probably wouldn't even be able to remember the lyrics, much less answer any of his questions coherently. (T_T)
