The Pineapple is malaise

I am feeling rather out of sorts for some reason. Just slightly melacholic... a little fidgety. I might want to scream a bit if I didn't think it would be waste of my time and energy. So here I am writing an entry.

We had our first exam last Saturday. Pharmacology. Yeah, I'm only two weeks into the new semester and I already have exams. Next week highlights (this week technically) Pathology, Clinical Pathology and Internal Medicine. All highly difficult papers. Especially pathology and internal medicine. And people wonder why I have no life.

Actually, I should be studying yes? Having three papers in less than a weeks time should actually put things in perspective and yet, I am not. I've become immune to exams I think.

This is not a good thing.

Anyway, last night from 8.30-9.30 was Earth Hour. Did you turn of your lights?

We did, but turns out the lights in front of house was a sensor type light. So, we couldn't turn it off. Sorry world but I have failed you....hahahahah...

In regards to the title of this post. I have found out something rather interesting. According to a site I stumbled upon the name Anona, actually means "Pineapple". Believed to have originated for "Annone" the name of a goddess of food. Or something like that. Interesting

btw, i sometimes use anonaanaga as a username. thus the interest....

This pineapple is retiring now. She has had enough of pretending to be studying.

Seeing red in the first week of classes

This is a picture of the cover of a local indonesian mag i bought the other day.
Sort of makes me homesick... HAhahahaha....why? it's plain as day in the title, guess.
So, yeah, when I saw it i just sorta burst out laughing. It's so totally cute. =)
Anyway, it's been a week since I returned to Jakarta and I haven't updated for ages so here I go.
In a week, the first week of classes mind, my bag was searched, I already received an assignment due approx five days later and I was experimented on. Really totally cool. And it was just the first week of classes!
Really short since I have nothing of interest to say. Just that the picture was just begging to be uploaded. XD

Potrait: Arashi

Matsumoto Jun

Ninomiya Kazunari

Aiba Masaki

Sakurai Sho

Ohno Satoshi
Time: Ages... I can safely say more than a week though time spent on each potrait is varied
Tools: 2B, HB, 4H, 7B pencils and 2B mech pencil
Again, I took a picture and uploaded it. So, the quality is bad and some of them turn out having some kind of weird angle. I should invest in a scanner...

My self imposed holiday project is finally finished!!!! Yatta!!!
What? What better thing to do to waste my time is there?
Actually, I wanted to arrange them in age order but the damn thing just won't do what I want it to. Or maybe I'm just that technologically illiterate... which isn't that far from the truth either...
Anyway, my thoughts on the whole project...
Ohno-san: His hair was the hardest to draw... (T_T;;). Really, I think I spent the most time drawing his hair. In the end.... I only like his hair... Hahahaha... (;^_A
Sho-chan: I drew him twice. hahaha... So difficult!!! The first potrait was scratched and I did this one next... I'm actually, still not happy with it. Something is just off.
Aiba-chan: Aiba-chan was hard to draw as well. I couldn't get the smile and the teeth right. I still haven't gotten it right. (>_<;) .... the nose is kinda off too...
Nino: Haha... I'm biased on this because he's my Ichiban. I want it to be perfect... it isn't..... there are so many things wrong, I don't know where to start... lol... I sorta made myself stop drawing.... lol. In this picture that I uploaded, there's something off with his hair. Some light is reflected and because I have no idea how, I couldn't repair it. Anyway, I like Nino's hair longer. But his hair in the Believe PV is also mecha kakkoi...
Matsujun: Most recently finished (because I also drew them in age order. Hahaha). last night actually. There's something off with his neck now that I'm looking at it properly... Maybe I'll repair it later... hahha... uploading it though.... yeah... maybe.... Anyway, his came together pretty quickly, haha, though the hair was a bit of a problem. Truthfully, this is sort of a revenge picture. haha... I drew a potrait of him last time (look at "Potrait: Matsumoto Jun" entry). At the time, I thought it was OK...now I think it's embarassing (knowing me, I'll probably find this collection embarrassing sometime too)...
So I tried hard to make this one look nicer. It does, but there're somethings I could repair...

All in all.... more room for improvement, yes? hahaha... honestly, if I were to take hold of a pencil right now, I'd probably be doing repairs on the potraits. But I had serious fun doing this. I felt a sense of accomplishment when i finished this... lol...even though the end result is far from good....
I'm no art student, I'm just doing this for fun so I have no idea if I'm even doing this the right way. (Is there a right way to draw a potrait anyway? There probably is)...
Anyway!!! comments are appreciated... I'd like to know how I can improve. Now I'm learning how to do this by trial and error... Soooo many errors... hahaha

On another note, I just watched the anime version of Believe... I didn't actually understand the story (if there is a story at all behind it) but I liked the way they incoporated each members quirks in the anime... Sho and his newscasting, Ohno and his fishing, Aiba and his animals, Nino and his gaming (well, he was playing a game in the beginning... I don't actually understand why he was in a garden... gomen...) and Matsujun just being kakkoi.. hahaha
fav scene... Aiba catching the puppies. I'd probably watch it again and again just for that scene. Haha....
Over all... very cute. hahaha...

A very long entry no? Ah well.... the end...

I have sworn off...

...thrill rides...

Really, do not, ever, expect me to get on any kind of thrill ride EVER!

So, i suppose, to make the story comprehensible, I will start at the beginning.

My sister, brother and I went to KL on Saturday. For various reasons, myself as a chaperone of sorts, my sister for heart affairs and my brother as a tagger-alonger and also to keep me company when the couple go off to giggle together or to plot world domination or whatever.

Anyway, of all places, we went to Berjaya Times Square and went to the indoor themepark.

After paying the admittance fee (which was expensive!!), we walked around looking at what rides were open. As we were kind of early, not many rides were open yet but the Orbit was, so we went on that.

The Orbit wasn't that bad. I really didn't scream all that much, I'm glad to say, but I did wish it would stop sooner. So I was all set to get on another one...

By the time we got of the Orbit, the big hammer thing was good to go. Adnan, my sis's bf, explained what the ride was like and somehow, convinced us all to go on it.

I will never understand thrill junkies. Ever.

The feeling of being suspended in air with a harness that didn't even feel secure is something I will never appreciate. And then, while we were being swung around in the air, I made the mistake of opening my eyes and seeing the black ground hundreds of feet below me, and pieces of paper from people's pockets floating to the ground, oh yeah, I screamed. Not to mention the grinning faces of my brother and Adnan. Weird.

I am such a wimp.

When the damn thing finally stopped, I got of so fast. LOL.

So after that, to calm ourselves down or something, we went on the bumper cars next. I can say that this was the ride I actually, truly enjoyed and wouldn't have minded going on twice even though I would have to wait again. Hahaha....

There's just something about driving crazily and hitting people that calms me down so after that ride, I was all set to get on the roller coaster.

So we went on the roller coaster next.

Yeah, I didn't scream I'm glad to say, but that was maybe because I refused to open my eyes either.

hahaha.... and people actually think I'm brave.

yeah right.

when we got of of that one, I was so dizzy, I finally drew the line. No thrill rides. Ever.

Never ever

Never ever ever EVER...

you get the idea.... NEVER

So when we got down, Adnan asked the lady in charge of the ride ominously called The DNA Mixer... I didn't want to get on no matter how many times my sister called me a chicken since I'd already made up my mind.....

Let's just say, when the thing started, I was happy I was clucking down there instead of screaming my head off on it.

oh yeah...

entirely happy clucking....

so yeah, after that, we sorta called it quits and decided to just go shopping instead. hahaha... though the boys probably could take some more rides.... kesian...

Anyway, not much happened after that, we met up again with my big brother and his girlfriend at Borders, (they were chaperoning us as well, my parents are really big worry warts) and walked about.

Oh yeah, happy note, I met two of my old school friends at the surau. Tikah Sahar and Rizuana....

Sooooo surprised to see them... haha...they were sorta shocked to see me too it seemed. Hahaha... yeah who expects to meet old school chums from Temerloh in a mall in KL? out of the many malls in KL?

the chances are slim to none. hahha

so, yeah, met them. Sorry I couldn't really chat longer because they were in a hurry to go pray.

If by any chance you girls are reading this; I'm happy we had a chance to meet. =)

so after that, had lunch at Kyros Kebab, bought a t-shirt at F.O.S. and got a free one then headed back to pekeliling to catch our 5.30 bus.

All in all, a good day.

though I would have prefered more of it spent on solid ground.

if these guys are going again, I'd probably follow to the entrance, then leave to watch a movie at the cinema. Hahahha...

btw, was too busy screaming to realize we didn't really take any pictures. only at the end when we were waiting for the bus did we snap a couple of pics that really weren't anything.

...

oh yeah, watched the short version of Arashi's PV for Believe, (single coming out on sale on March 4th... I WANT ONE!!!!) ....

please scream "I LOVE IT" from the highest hill tops, thank you.

haha...

seriously, Nino looks totally awesome. AAHAHAHAHHAHA....
