So, last week in psychiatry. New postings came out yesterday and I'm off to Depok again but at a different hospital, doing Internal Medicine. Now's the time to see if I really want this. If I'm cut out for this, if I can do it. I like internal medicine. We'll see if I end up still liking it. Like, I liked psychiatry when I learnt it in class, I like talking/discussing stuff about psychodynamics, really interesting, I just don't really like psychiatry anymore. If you can understand any of that, wonderful.

I finished my exams Tuesday. I was assigned a rather difficult patient. Difficult because he didn't want to talk with me at all, and in psychiatry, it's the interview that counts. We got off on the wrong foot and everything, but I didn't want to ask for a new case. My stubbornness can be legendary. So, I stuck with him. Approached him for so many days the nurses at his ward know me by name. After all that, I managed a decent rapport. Not sure if I aced the exam but at I don't think I did too bad on my case. We had a harder time with the other guy's case. Good god, that case. We answered to the best of our knowledge, but damnit...

So anyway, he's a nice kid. I wish him all the best.

So next 10 weeks at Depok. We'll see how it goes. Unimportant fact, we finish a day after my birthday. I think I should start studying, I will. Maybe. Some time later.

I don't know what I got for this posting. May I get a good mark, insyaAllah.



In other news, while reading a stupid post on tumblr (I trawl, I do not have) I almost made another argument on existentialism and life. Oh my god my brain. Let's drown it in senseless drivel.

Today I woke up amazingly late. After I had went back to sleep again of course. But really, that doesn't count. So, I don't really like to wake up so late. It makes me feel guilty somehow. Haha

Weird person I am.

Tomorrow we are going to go to Kota Tua. I should probably charge my cellphone. It's fairly important. And we'll probably be taking pictures. So, wait a minute...

Anyway. Tomorrow we're gonna set out early. And we have to wake up early to make lunch because we're gonna have a picnic of some sort as well. Maybe I'll bring some crisps as well. We'll see.

I'm not really enthused as you can see. Most probably because I'm just going with the flow. Since everyone decided to go, I'm just going along. It's not like I'm really doing anything at home right now. So, why not?

Don't really expect a lot of input on the trip though. I might not write about it until maybe three weeks after. Haha.

One thing I've been thinking about recently. The Arashi new album.

Some people are moaning and groaning at the use of auto-tuning in the album.

I personally have no problems with it though. Mostly because to me, I want to listen to a good song. I don't care how you make it, how you sing it, or even sometimes, what you're singing about. I just want a good song. If the auto-tuning makes the song better, then I have no qualms with it. To me, it's still a good song.

If I want to listen to real singing, I'll listen to other songs. If I want to do some head banging, I'll listen to some other songs.

That kind of thing.

Maybe I have no real principle on what I'm listening to, but to really describe it, I just want to listen to a good song.

It's like, I can't really stand hip hop, but still I listen to some songs by Eminem because he makes some good songs.

It just comes down to personal preference anyway, cry moar kinda thing.

I love the new album. And surprisingly, my favourite member solo is Matsujun's. Nino's is good but kinda, you know. Just good. The meaning behind the song is sweet though. Sho-chan's is listenable, but not really something I'd put on repeat. Aiba's is aiba-ppoi and I laugh everytime he sings -discotique, discotique- because really???? . Oh-chan's solo is something he's done. Kinda like 'Song for me' and 'Take me far away'. It's good. Oh-chan's vocals are awesome. But it's too done.

All in all, I really like this album. :) Good job, Arashi.

On another note, unrelated to fandom and random declarations of love and odd sentimentality, I hate exams. We are, as I have mentioned in the middle of exam weeks. Just finished one week, another one to go. Around 4 - 5 papers left to wade through and heaps of notes to read at least once and try to make heads or tails (or in some extra cases, added limbs) of.

I moan and groan and go through the motions.


And I've started listening to Pink Floyd. Mostly because I loved the beginning song in Ao no Honoo which, after some searching, I found out to be called "the post war dream" by Pink Floyd. I'm going on a limb and calling it the song of my childhood, Pink Floyd I mean. Which isn't all that wrong because my parents, especially my dad, is a fan. We used to put on their records a lot when I was small. So, I actually know some of their songs even if I don't recall the entire album. And the Beatles and Elton John.

I'm rather sorry to say that I only listen to songs because I like to listen to songs. I just love music. I don't search for any particular meaning. So this pretty much goes over my head. I hear legions of fans screaming blasphemy at me. Don't care. I like 'Another Brick in the Wall'. I've liked it since I was a kid.

Well, back to hitting the books. Literally.

A list because, right now, that's all I can think in

1. I just finished my exams for today. Skill labs for hearing pathological heart sounds. I think I did grand. But we'll see. Soon enough. I have more exams than I can count on one hand lined up for the week. You're bored of hearing me moan about my abundance of multiple questions lined up back to back, each carrying 5 to 10 marks and to be answered in, like, 20 minutes (most of the time. Sometimes they give us 10 minutes 8D)? Try being the one answering them every 2 to 4 weeks. I have absolutely NO FEELINGS for the upcoming exams. notgoodnotgoodnotgood. It's almost the same as being suicidal.

2. My blood pressure is 90+/60+. Rough estimate. I feel fine. 8D. That's lower than ever but I have low blood pressure anyways. (Normally around 110/70)

3. I'm in the final stretch of completing the group powerpoint presentation for Wednesday's pleno. I am not putting in any animations, fancy backgrounds, nor any sparkles. Just because. Hah.

4. I have a tummy ache.

5. I probably should be studying.

6. Remember this post? Why? Videoscope, why? ? Well, Arashi will be on videoscope. In fact, if I remember correctly, Arashi has already been on videoscope. Because it aired on 10th October. Ironic much? Yes. That is my life. I wonder if my housemates would let me install astro? Because, you know. Reruns.....

6a. edit: Apparently on 10th October when Videoscope: Arashi was supposed to be aired (I got my facts right), V instead aired Videoscope: Utada Hikaru. Hmmm..... Though I am glad I didn't miss anything, I am also confused. I'm thinking Johnny didn't allow it. If that's true, then. Damn you, Johnny. Why you play with the fans' heartstrings so? Especially us overseas.

7. Ninomiya Kazunari will be playing Kei Kurono in Gantz. I've read Gantz. Then stopped because it got too gory. It's an action movie. I'm presuming heavy CGs. The movie's coming out April next year. Will I watch it? Maybe, just to see Nino in the black costumes they wear while killing aliens. And maybe see him in action sequences. It'll be in two parts. Co-starring is Kenichi Matsuyama. The dude who played L in Deathnote. The director is the same guy who did "Deathnote". I am....slightly excited. About seeing Nino kick ass. Sorry.

8. Aiba-chan's My Girl. Wanna watch. Sad-faces at the world. Them song by Arashi titled My girl. Sad-faces at the world some more.

9. Have finished reading for tomorrow's papers. Will now proceed to try and finish them again. After I sleep. Probably.

Today is my Neener's 26th birthday!! XD


And in a mood to celebrate, myself, Ijat, Anum and A'an went to Puri to get Secret Recipe cakes and Pizza.

It wasn't actually planned. haha... to be honest, I can't believe I did this myself. Hahaha.......

In all actuality, I just wanted to go to Puri, get a slice of cheese cake and bring it back home to eat. But since they wanted to come along, this impromptu celebration was born

I just realized I didn't take a lot of pictures. o_0...

So, the celebrations began sometime around 7. To keep up with the theme of Arashi and Nino's b'day, we sort of wore shirts according to the colour of our fav member. I of course, wore yellow, Anum wore a green shirt for Aiba, A'an wore blue for Ohno and Ijat wore her purple and white watch for Matsujun since she didn't own a purple shirt. Sadly, we did not have a Sho representative because the only one we knew who would actually 'layan' our craziness had an exam.

We met up at Puri and bought slices of the cakes we wanted and went to eat dinner at Pizza Hut. While waiting for our orders at Pizza Hut, we took out the cakes and arranged them. Ijat took a recording to each of our wishes for Nino and then well, we ate cake!! hahaha... ( i think really, most of us were just looking for a reason to eat cake and since the occasion presented itself...well...)

The conversation was mainly about Arashi, of course. I had soooo much fun talking about my favourite vids and clips of the boys. Sort of, FINALLY kindred spirits!!! Hahaha...

Oh, and here's a happy coincidence, during break today, I was sitting around in class with my friends when suddenly, someone put on a video of Nino!! It was the video with Nino, the pretty girl-boy and two other guys whom I do not recognize. The one where Nino did the "acrylic kiss" with the girl-boy. Hahaha...

When it first came on I was like, ok, what's this japanese video and who put it on? When suddenly, the camera zoomed on a familiar face and I was like...OMG, NINO!!!!!! hahaha...true fangirl face finally revealed to the world. >_<;;;

haha....imagine, Nino on my class screen. It's kinda funny.

Anyway, to end this slightly pointless and fangirl-ish post, here's a birthday wish:

OMG!!! Fly my money fly...

In which Nona fails and flails with furious abandon.

You see, when we went to the Grand Indonesia Mall, I had a target in mind; To go to Kinokuniya. I've never actually been to Kinokuniya surprisingly, me being a bookworm and all that, but that's the truth. Generally, my whole family frequents MPH more with a side dish of Popular.


Pokoknya, I've never been to Kino...


So, after lunch at the food court (mie tarik, Sedap gak), we headed down to Kinokuniya.

When we got there, I was very happy to see that they had a larger selection of english books compared to Gramedia, so I was all set on buying one because, hey, it's not exactly often that I can go there right? After around 20-30 minutes of book browsing, I decided on a book and then went around the store to look around.

Then lo and behold, just as I set foot into the Japanese section I saw...this;

ARASHI 2009-2010 calendar.

Good god, I squealed. Right then and there in the store, I was going "kyaaaaa~" like crazy and my heart was actually beating so hard, it's funny.

I mean, really, this kind of reaction, for a CALENDAR??? But it was no ordinary, I tell you, it's an ARASHI calendar.

The part of my brain that is actually half-sane wishes to point out, "as if this makes any difference".

The other part says, "OF COURSE. It makes all the difference in the world!!!!"

So, in all my squealing and heart-pounding excitement, I grabbed it and went to the counter..... and BOUGHT IT!!!!!!


I have an ARASHI CALENDAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, back to normal. As, I was saying, I bought that calendar. No matter what my friends told me, I still bought that calendar (sidenote: thanks Aqilah for understanding my insanity). The price.......... shall not be stated here due to the possibility of an induced heart-attack in certain parental figures. But I think I'll tell her anyway, when she asks. Complete with conversion to RM.....

What was in the box? A calendar and a diary. Complete with pages and pages of pictures.

I swear I'm never ripping this calendar and when 2010 comes, I'll take each page and frame it. Frame it I tell you!!!

What? The thing's too darn expensive to be thrown out after just one year!

The calendar: I'm not a fan of the theme. SURPRISE!! LOL.


You'd think that a rabid fangirl like me would like this, but surprisingly, no. I do not like the calendar's theme. There are 7 pages including the cover. One page featuring each member and a group picture on the last page. The theme: sexy. Sexy pictures all around. Just, well, I prefer their wholesome look more maybe? And some of the pictures were, well, garish. I mean, red rose petals? Really red suits?


Just...no.


Oh yeah, they even included some stickers. I'm still figuring where the heck am I going to paste these...



The diary: I heart this book.


It's more of a photobook than a diary really. Sort of home themed, Arashi during winter? More character based, I'd say. Matsujun reading, Nino with a guitar, Sho writing raps, Aiba tinkering with a bike and Ohno fishing. Group pictures of them being 'Arashi' (fangirls will understand this even if the normal folk don't).


In short, I HEART this diary.

So, the main question: Did I regret my purchase?
